Mahatma Gandhi, whose full name was Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, was a greate leader of the indian freedom struggle and was revered as the ‘father of the nation’ . Gandhi is famous for several reasons :

Mahatma Gandhi is Called ‘Mahatma’ because it is a title given to him for his special religious, moral and social values, his complete faith and dedication towards truth and non-violence. the word ‘Mahatma’ means ‘Great Soul’ in Sanskrit , Indicating the importance of one’s identity, peace, and spirituality. Gandhiji followed the principles of truth and non-violence in his life and he demonstrated his unique excellence through non-violent satyagraha in the indian freedom struggle.
